Silverthorne, Colorado
May 25, 2010
While driving through the mountains I was hoping to get a sweet Colorado picture to put up here but it was just cloudy and drab. Then I went through the Eisenhower Tunnel and into Silverthorne/Dillon area and the sun was breaking through the clouds and hitting the mountains in a way that I can’t describe and no photo I could take would do it justice, but I absolutely had to find a place to get a shot of this mountain. After searching for a path that could lead into a clearing I finally stumbled upon a development area that bordered the White River National Forest. I parked and then walked for a while. I found a man made clearing and liked the juxtaposition of the deforested area against a beautiful mountain and forest scene.
