Highway 2 East, Montana

June 12, 2010

So i don’t remember exactly where this shot was taken but it was somewhere in Montana along Highway 2 heading East, before Missoula. It had been raining on me since I left the coast of Oregon and so I was looking forward to that stopping and this was just at the end of the storm. Off the highway I saw this abandoned mine, At first I was going to just pass it by as I was pretty focused at this point in making good time to catch the guys who were still about a day or so ahead. I decided to double back though and grab a couple shots. I’m glad I did. This shot came out a bit soft but I think perhaps it gives the image a more ethereal feel. What do you think?

  2. Thanks, Montana is a beautiful state! The guys started to get a bit bored with it as the state is soo large, the scenery becomes pretty repetitive haha!

  5. Haha, yeah, it does get a bit repetitive. When my family and I were driving through the state a few weeks ago, I was like, “OK, so all the mountains look the same!” lol
