The Dalles, Oregon

June 12, 2010

After waking up at a rest area, I was pleasantly greeted by the silence of my engine due to a dead battery. This was an interesting way for me to say good morning to the canadian couple who, luckily, were awakening at the same time. After finding some jumper cables and unsuccessfully jumping my car, I remembered that Lance had given me his car jumper battery pack to use on the trip. This worked flawlessly and I was off. As I drove through the Dalles The morning fog was floating along the cliffs, I was hoping to get a shot of that but alas I could not find a location in time so this shot of what the cliffs looked like will have to suffice. After shooting this is the point in the drive where I decide it’s a good idea to turn off my car (maybe 30 min after it had just been dead). This, as you can imagine, was not a good idea. Lance (in spirit) is there to save the day again with the battery pack. That is when I decide it’s probably time to buy a new battery.
