Richland Center, Wisconsin
June 18, 2010
So it looks like I may have lost a couple of my media cards along the way holding my photos from middle Montana to Wisconsin! Unfortunately that means I’ll have a bit of a gap in the trip in terms of photography. Perhaps I’ll have another chance to visit these areas and capture some of the scenery. This shot was taken at a farmstead in Richland Center. A young couple who lives on this land graciously hosted us for a meal and a place to sleep as we passed through. This was the first time I had experienced the use of a website called warmshowers.com. Apparently there are people all over the nation who are hospitable enough to open their doors to people in return for some company and some good stories. It was a blast! They cooked us a hot meal, bratwursts over a campfire, and we were able to hear about some of their adventures on the bike.
